One live Shopify store: the merchant name, its domain, the product categories it sells under, the country it trades from, an estimated monthly revenue and monthly visit count, how many products it lists, the date the storefront came online, and the contact columns below. Behind those, each record also holds the Shopify apps it has installed, the front-end technologies it runs, its description, its TikTok, X and YouTube accounts and their follower counts, and its traffic rank — ask and we'll add the ones you need to your export.

It is an estimate, and it says so with a ~ in every cell it appears in. Shopify merchants do not publish revenue, so the number is derived from the storefront's catalogue, pricing and traffic signals. It is on 100% of rows, which makes it a good way to cut the list — 116,101 stores are estimated above $100k a month and 7,427 above $1M — and a bad number to quote as fact. Monthly visits is an estimate too, and it is only on 42% of rows, so a visits filter would silently drop most of the list; that is why the explorer filters on revenue and shows visits.

The accounts a store publishes on its own site, with the real numbers rather than an adjective: a store email on about 60% of rows, an Instagram profile on 47%, Facebook on 26% and a company LinkedIn on 5%. These are shop inboxes — hello@, info@, the owner's address where that is what the site lists — not a named marketing manager, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. There is a “Store email” filter so you can work with only the rows that have one. A store that publishes nothing has empty contact cells rather than invented ones.

Yes, and it is a claim we check rather than assert: the platform field reads “Shopify” on 2,898,352 of the 2,898,352 records, which is the whole list. What the list is not is every Shopify store in the world — Shopify does not publish that number and nobody who sells you a list has crawled all of it. 2.9 million live storefronts is what we have, and it is the one claim on this page you can check by filtering.

Yes — that is the “Installed app slug” box, and it takes Shopify's own slug as it appears in the app's URL, e.g. 'klaviyo-email-marketing' or 'judgeme-product-reviews'. Installed apps are on record for 79% of stores. It is the filter to use for “every store running X that we can sell an alternative to”, and it is indexed, so it is fast.

Yes — that is the “Store stack” menu, which is the app filter with the slug-hunting already done. Each entry is a whole motion rather than one app: Shopify Plus stores (76,353), headless storefronts (54,693), subscriptions (Recharge, Seal, Loop, Skio and friends — 106,457 stores), print-on-demand (220,563), dropshipping (85,486), email/SMS (626,935), reviews (810,076), loyalty (95,314), page builders (269,416) and cash-on-delivery checkouts (69,903). It stacks with everything else, so “US subscription stores over $10k a month” is three clicks and an export.

The crawl is rerun and the list rebuilt monthly. Stores that have closed or left Shopify are dropped rather than left in to inflate the count, so the number moves in both directions.
